A resourceful bartender of an LA based British pub who had over-estimated the popularity of Smirnoff in it’s early days (and over-ordered ginger beer) came up with the Moscow Mule to purely shift some stock. 80 years later and we’re still enjoying this vodka-based classic mixed with ginger beer, a dash of angostura’s bitter and garnished with fresh mint.
